Cancer Core Europe
Cancer Core Europe (CCE) is a legal consortium. The aim is to develop a reliable ‘engine’ for early translational cancer research and to innovate across the cancer research continuum. CCE was created in 2015 and is now an organization linking seven leading European cancer centers. These include the Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus Grand Paris; Cambridge Cancer Center, Cambridge; the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam; the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm; the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology, Barcelona; the German Center for Cancer Research and the National Centre for Tumour Diseases, Heidelberg and the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milano. CCE has become a model to link basic/preclinical research with early clinical research, while at the same time creating the critical mass needed for developing PCM. The PCM program is responsible for the KI collaboration with CCE.
